Here's what the customer, Max Grant, says about Donnie and Duc Pond Racing:

"I bought one of the "race only" SS1000s in February, with an eye toward building a bike that would be competitive in the CCS lightweight superbike class against built SV650s and Buells.
I checked around with some friends and they recommended Donnie and Duc Pond racing for advice on what parts to purchase and to do the build.

I trailered the bike out to Donnie's shop with a car full of parts, with additional parts being sent directly to him.

A couple months later, Donnie delivered the bike you see here, and we spent 2 days at the track getting a good baseline set up on the suspension and geometry.

I can say that the quality of craftsmanship and fabrication done by Duc Pond is what I would expect from a top-flite AMA factory team.
The work done on the bike was done at a level of quality and care that I have not found in any race shop before. Donnie built this bike like it was going to be his, he paid attention to details beyond those we had discussed, and the cost of all that work was extremely reasonable.

If I had it to do over again, I would do it exactly the same:
Call Donnie, consult with him on the parts to buy, have him build the bike.

Donnie will be maintaining this bike for many years, and when the time comes to build the engine (next winter), Donnie will be leading that project too.

Great work, thanks to Donnie and his team at Duc Pond Racing!"
